Senior HVAC Technician – Commercial Service | South Florida
This is a lead-level field role. You’ll handle complex commercial service, diagnostics, and installs, and you’ll mentor the techs around you. Most of your day is on tools, on rooftops, and on job sites.
What You’ll Do
- Service, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial systems, and support installations and commissioning
- Be the go-to tech on tough calls, confirming diagnoses with readings, schematics, and sequence of operation
- Mentor junior and mid-level techs and flag recurring training gaps
- Work directly with property managers, building engineers, GCs, and facility teams, including recommending repairs and upgrades
- Keep job documentation, photos, readings, and parts needs up to date in our field-service app
- Keep your truck, tools, and instruments job-ready
Systems You’ll Work On
- RTUs and commercial split systems
- VRF/VRV
- WSHPs, condenser-water loops, and cooling towers
- VAV, air handlers, economizers, and outside air
- Chilled-water fan coils and hydronic systems
- Controls: VFDs, sensors, safeties, and BAS/DDC fundamentals
What You Bring
- 8+ years of HVAC field experience, including commercial service
- Strong independent troubleshooting across refrigeration, electrical/controls, water-side, and airflow
- EPA 608 certification and a valid driver’s license
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and sequences of operation
- Your own hand tools and standard diagnostic instruments (we provide specialty equipment)
- Comfort working on rooftops, in mechanical rooms, and in high-rise buildings
Nice to Have
- English/Spanish bilingual
- Manufacturer training (any brand; transferable skills matter more)
- Experience in high-rise, multifamily, hospitality, healthcare, or retrofit work
- Experience mentoring techs or leading installs and commissioning
Compensation &; Benefits
Base Salary: $65,000–$85,000, based on demonstrated experience and technical capability.
Benefits include health, dental and vision coverage; PTO and sick time; company vehicle where applicable; company technology and field resources; performance-based opportunities; and advancement within a growing commercial operation.
Compensation: $58,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
